COLLABORATIVE LAW
This is a consensual process.
It is a form of practice that involves both parties with their trained collaborative lawyers.
The process attempts to resolve conflict in a non-adversarial, problem-solving manner, without going to court. It also involves other professionals as part of the “team approach” (such as financial experts, parenting specialists etc.).
It is client centred and the lawyers assist the parties to communicate and negotiate in a respectful and non-adversarial manner.
